M. Elaine Graves, owner and founder of MEG Associates Consulting Group, Inc. has been in home care since 1962. Her background includes all levels of Home Health, Community Health, and Hospice. She began her career as a field nurse for the Waterbury, CT VNA, progressing to positions of increasing responsibility that included psychiatric liaison, Asst. Director at Denver VNS (now VNA), Executive Director of Hospice of Metro Denver (now The Denver Hospice), Consultant and Surveyor for the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment, and Site Visitor for a leading accreditation organization.

While working as a surveyor, Elaine observed community home care agencies misconstruing regulatory and fiscal intermediary requirements, creating unnecessary policies and procedures, and processing excessive paperwork. The end result was an inability to provide high quality home care services. Recognizing the need for affordable and accurate consultation and education services, Elaine established MEG Associates Consulting Group, Inc. in 1995, which now provides a full range of consultation services. It is her belief that: "The greatest gift a consultant can give a client is self sufficiency and the ability to function independently."
